Job summary

Sembcorp Industries Ltd. is seeking a Vice President, Regional LNG Origination to build a premier Asia-focused LNG portfolio.

The role combines senior customer origination with hands-on commercial execution, developing a scalable, flexible portfolio across Southeast Asia with term contracts, spot activity and optimisation. You will lead cross-functional deal teams, negotiate complex LNG transactions, and drive infrastructure and market-access initiatives while managing risk within governance

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in LNG origination and portfolio development.
• Experience in structuring LNG transactions and risk-controlled deals.
• Strong track record in building new markets and partnerships throughout Asia.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional deal teams and negotiate complex contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree; postgraduate qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional LNG strategy and diversified portfolio.
• Identify and develop market-entry opportunities across Southeast Asia.
• Prepare investment proposals and portfolio strategies for senior management.
• Originate LNG opportunities by building relationships with customers and partners.
• Lead negotiations through to execution of LNG supply, sales, shipping, and infrastructure contracts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure transactions are commercially sound and compliant.
• Lead due diligence, valuation and negotiation strategies for strategic transactions.
• Identify and secure LNG infrastructure and market-access opportunities.
• Drive portfolio optimisation across LNG supply, demand, logistics and infrastructure positions.
• Develop risk management strategies across physical and financial LNG exposures.
• Ensure activities stay within governance frameworks and risk mandates.
• Foster leadership and talent development within the LNG origination team and cross-functional deal teams.
• Represent the organisation with customers, partners, regulators and industry stakeholders.
