Job summary

JC Consulting in Singapore seeks an Asia Area Legal Counsel specializing in projects and infrastructure. The role requires 4-8 years of PQE with strong experience in construction, EPC contracts, and project development across energy or infrastructure sectors.

You will support development, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations, coordinating with cross-functional teams across Asia. The ideal candidate will manage contractual risks, negotiate complex terms, and handle disputes,

Qualifications

Bachelor of Laws degree with qualification to practise in relevant jurisdiction.
4-8 years PQE in reputable law firm or in-house legal team.
Strong experience in construction, engineering and EPC contracts.
Experience in energy or infrastructure sectors, renewable energy or power projects an advantage.

Responsibilities

Draft, review and negotiate construction, engineering and project-related contracts including EPC agreements and service contracts.
Provide legal support through project lifecycle from development to operations.
Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks in project execution.
Negotiate terms with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Support management of disputes, arbitration and settlement negotiations.
Provide legal support on M&A and investments in infrastructure or energy.
Advise on regulatory considerations and project compliance.
