Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced AS400 applications developer for a banking client in Singapore. You will analyse, develop, enhance, debug, support, and deploy applications, collaborating with senior developers and the system architect.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in CS, 8+ years AS400 experience in banking, proficiency in RPG, CL, SQL, COBOL, JCL, and STRDBG, and ability to code, script, and build interfaces across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years of AS400 experience in a banking institution.
• Proficient in RPG, CL programming, Smart/400, SQL, COBOL, JCL and debugging tools such as STRDBG.
• Experience in development, system integration and application delivery support.
• Duties may include coding, scripting, building new systems and interfaces.

Responsibilities

About the client: Our client is a Reputed Bank

Responsibilities

• Analyse, develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, test applications
• The primary work comprises of requirement analysis, mapping design, technical specification, programming, code review, job scheduling, perform unit test and SIT, support UAT, deploy to production, post implementation support, and technical documentation.
• Responsible, the works are adequately documented and transferred to the production team post-cutover.
• Work with senior developers and system architect in formulating technical solutions. The solution will be required to satisfy all security, regulatory and architectural standards.

Requirement

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 8 years’ relevant experience in AS400 in banking Institution.
• Proficient in RPG, CL programming, Smart/400, SQL, COBOL , Job Control Language (JCL) and debugging tools such as STRDBG
• Must have experience in development, system integration and support the Application Delivery.
• Depending on the project, your duties may include coding, scripting, building new systems and interfaces.
