Job summary

ELLIOTT MOSS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced AS400 COBOL Developer to design, develop, and maintain AS400 applications in a banking environment, preferably within the payments domain.

The role involves delivering reliable software solutions, supporting the complete development lifecycle, and collaborating with technical teams and clients to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field is required.
• 5–8 years of AS400 COBOL development experience.
• Banking domain experience, preferably payments.
• Strong knowledge of AS400, COBOL, SQL and DB2.
• Experience in AS400 application development, maintenance and production support.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AS400 COBOL applications, modules and interfaces.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from development to deployment.
• Enhance existing applications to meet evolving needs.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide production support.
• Follow coding standards and quality practices.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
