Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field is required.
• 5–8 years of AS400 COBOL development experience.
• Banking domain experience, preferably payments.
• Strong knowledge of AS400, COBOL, SQL and DB2.
• Experience in AS400 application development, maintenance and production support.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AS400 COBOL applications, modules, and interfaces. Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Enhance existing applications to meet evolving business requirements.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support.
• Follow established coding standards, development methodologies, and quality practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Identify technical issues proactively and elevate them when required. Continuously improve technical knowledge and development practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5–8 years of AS400 COBOL development experience.
• Experience in the banking domain, preferably payments.
• Strong knowledge of AS400, COBOL, SQL, and DB2. Working knowledge of JIRA and Aldon.
• Experience in AS400 application development, maintenance, and production support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
