Linda Gallery Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a sales ambassador to welcome visitors, present exhibitions and inventory, and convert inquiries into collectors.
You will manage CRM leads, maintain pricing discipline, support gallery events, and collaborate with management and senior sales managers; weekend/evening availability required.
Established in 1990, Linda Gallery is a premier contemporary art gallery specializing in East & Southeast Asian fine art and museum-quality sculpture, operating across flagship spaces in Singapore (Paragon & Tanjong Pagar Distripark), Jakarta, and Beijing. For over three decades, we have served as a trusted international platform connecting leading regional artists with collectors, family offices, and institutions worldwide.
In this position, you will serve as the primary ambassador for the gallery floor, reporting to Gallery Management and working closely alongside Senior Sales Managers. This position offers mentorship under experienced industry members and hands-on exposure to high-profile regional art fairs. Your daily focus will be converting inbound inquiries, VIP preview guests, and walk-in foot traffic into dedicated collectors. This role demands a structured approach to sales, active clienteling, and rigorous follow-up. You will manage the entire lifecycle of gallery-generated leads, master our primary and secondary inventory systems, maintain strict price discipline during negotiations, and proactively mine our database to re-engage past buyers.
Client Engagement & Gallery Operations: Act as the primary point of contact for gallery visitors, delivering articulate, engaging walkthroughs of current exhibitions and inventory.
Database & Lead Cultivation: Proactively cultivate leads by mining the gallery’s CRM database, re-engaging past auction/gallery buyers, and following up on event attendees.
Sales Execution: Drive primary and secondary market sales through the gallery’s established marketing channels, exhibitions, and existing house accounts.
CRM Management: Maintain meticulous records of client preferences, transaction histories, and pipeline stages in the CRM.
Event & Logistics Support: Support the physical setup, VIP guest management, and administrative logistics for gallery openings and local art fairs.
Customer-Facing Sales Experience: 1–5+ years of success in high-touch sales environments, such as luxury retail (timepieces, fine jewelry, haute couture), high-end hospitality, premium real estate, or art gallery operations. (Prior fine art experience is a plus, but strong clienteling skills and sales aptitude matter more; comprehensive artwork catalog onboarding and artist market briefings are provided).
Interpersonal Finesse: Natural active listening skills, high emotional intelligence, and a polished, professional demeanor suited for engaging high-net-worth clientele.
Operational Diligence & Availability: Organized and detail-oriented, with comfort in managing CRM records, tracking inventory, and adhering to strict margin discipline. Must have the flexibility to work weekend shifts (e.g., Tuesday–Saturday or Wednesday–Sunday schedule) and assist with evening exhibition previews.
Communication: Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, or other regional languages is a distinct advantage for regional client interactions.
Base Salary: $3,500 – $4,500 SGD / month (commensurate with experience).
Commission Structure: 2% – 7% of artwork sales (scaled based on price discipline, margin guidelines, and lead sourcing).
