Job summary

CHINA COMMUNICATIONS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED (SINGAPORE BRANCH) is seeking a site-focused architect/engineer to coordinate architectural works and supervise subcontractors on aBayfront project. The role involves reviewing drawings, coordinating finishes, and ensuring quality and safety on site.

You will liaise with M&E and other trades to prevent clashes, perform inspections, and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Architectural, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant site experience in architectural works, commercial, hospitality or large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, construction methods and site coordination.
• Able to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise architectural works and subcontractors according to drawings, specs and programme.
• Coordinate architectural finishes including partitions, ceilings, flooring, doors, glazing, painting, joinery and specialist finishes.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, mock-ups and technical details with consultants and project teams.
• Coordinate with M&E, structural and other trades to prevent clashes and delays.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and defect/snagging follow-up to ensure workmanship and standards.
• Monitor site progress, manpower, material deliveries and work sequencing; report issues/delays to the Architectural/Project Manager.
• Maintain site documentation, inspection records, RFIs, progress reports and handover documents; ensure safety compliance.
