Job summary

SIM SENG HIN SAWMILL COMPANY (PTE.) LIMITED is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter/Interior Designer to prepare shop drawings for interior fit-out projects in Singapore. You will develop layout plans, ceiling and partition details, joinery and MEP coordination drawings, and review drawings for accuracy.

Candidates should have a Diploma or Certificate in Drafting or related field, 2–5 years of experience in interior fit-out or renovation, and be proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp, Revit,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 2–5 years of interior fit-out or construction experience, preferably with timber doors.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects.
• Develop layout plans, ceiling plans, partition details, joinery drawings, furniture details, and MEP coordination drawings.
• Review architectural and design drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with interior designers, project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site measurements and surveys to verify dimensions before preparing drawings.
• Revise drawings based on client comments, consultant feedback, and site conditions.
• Prepare material take-offs and quantity calculations from approved drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local authority requirements, project specifications, and industry standards.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation.
• Support project teams during construction by providing technical drafting assistance and updating drawings as required.
• Prepare submission drawings for client and consultant approvals.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for custom joinery and furniture production drawings.

Requirements

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, 3D Max, or BIM software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out construction details and joinery works.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Experience in preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
