Job summary

Tropic Planners & Landscape Pte Ltd is seeking an Arborist to prepare comprehensive tree assessment reports, respond to emergencies after hours, inspect and diagnose tree health issues, and plan pruning/maintenance with contractors. The role requires strong English communication, basic MS Word/Excel skills, and certification as an arborist.

Applicants with arborist management experience and tree-climbing/chainsaw experience will be advantaged.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for Arborist certification.
• Experience in arborist management is advantageous.
• Tree-climbing and chainsaw operations experience are advantageous.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Basic proficiency in Word/Excel expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a comprehensive tree assessment report.
• Attend urgent and emergency tree matters after hours.
• Inspect trees and prescribe remedies for health problems.
• Implement pruning/maintenance with term contractors and supervisors.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders on arboriculture matters.

3. Conduct tree inspection and prescribe remedies for tree health problems
4. Implement tree pruning and maintenance programme with term contractors and supervisors
5. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on arboriculture matters
6. Supervise staff to ensure correct tree pruning and cutting methods are being applied
7. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Newly certified arborist are welcome to apply
• Working experience in arborist management will be advantage
• Accredited certified arborist or equivalent
• Tree-climbing and chainsaw operations experience will be advantage
• Good English communication and interpersonal skill
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
