Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Research Assistant (Aquaculture) in the School of Applied Science to plan and conduct life-science R&D experiments and routine operations for aquaculture, including husbandry, breeding and molecular biology techniques. You will work with project leaders to achieve research aims and mentor students.

The role requires a qualification in life science or related field, plus experience in aquaculture or research.

Formación

Must hold a qualification in life science, Aquaculture, Agriculture or molecular biology.
Experience in aquaculture operations or research is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Sound planning, organizing and multitasking abilities with responsibility for timely completion.
Proficient IT skills with good documentation, laboratory techniques and data analysis.

Responsabilidades

Plan and conduct life science R&D experiments and routine operations with a focus on aquaculture.
Collaborate with the project leaders to achieve research aims.
Mentor students on final year projects, internships and attachments.
Analyse data, review literature, and contribute to reports, presentations and manuscripts.
Assist with procurement of consumables and equipment with lab management.
