Job summary

James Cook University Singapore is seeking a dedicated Aquaculture Technician to provide aquaculture technical support for classroom activities, field trips and research. You will work at the aquaculture facility (fish husbandry) and the science laboratory, maintaining equipment and assisting with day-to-day operations.

The role involves water quality checks, feeding, cleaning, and basic maintenance of RAS systems, with weekend and public holiday work offset by off-in-lieu.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O/N or Diploma in any field.
• Comfortable working with laboratory animals, particularly fish.
• Physically fit and capable of performing moderately demanding tasks.
• Role may require weekends/public holidays with off-in-lieu (OIL).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of aquatic specimens and life support systems; maintain aquariums and water systems.
• Laboratory upkeep; keep the lab clean and organized.
