Job summary

KLA-Tencor (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an advanced engineer to characterize next‑generation semiconductor wafer inspection products and develop test plans, analyze data, and publish findings. You will lead demonstrations, create use cases for new features, and help drive product adoption at customer sites.

The role involves investigating yield issues, developing inspection solutions, and communicating product value with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to support market penetration.

Qualifications

• PhD, MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering or related field.
• Optics background is a plus.
• Semiconductor processing knowledge is a plus.

• Create and share product value statements and use cases with engineering, marketing and sales teams.

PhD/Master's/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering or related field

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Characterization of next-generation, state-of-the art semiconductor wafer inspection products.
• Develop and review feature requirements, design test plans, collect data, perform analysis, publish results and recommendations in the form of applications notes and best-known methods.
• Conduct new tool demonstrations to showcase differentiated performance and develop use cases on new features that help drive tool sales.
• Product value demonstration during beta testing, head-to-head (H2H) and evaluation tools in the ramp phase, thereby enabling product penetration and adoption at customer sites.
• Investigate semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and develop corresponding inspection solutions to monitor them.
• Create and share product value statements and use cases with engineering, marketing and sales groups.

Requirements:

• PhD Level Degree / Master's / Bachelor's Level Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Engineering or related field.
• Optics background is a plus.
• Semiconductor processing knowledge is a plus.
