Job summary

Persol Singapore Pte. Ltd. urgently seeks an Application & Database Support Engineer / Assistant Manager to provide day-to-day support for business applications and databases, resolving bugs and implementing new features.

You will translate business rules into data requirements and help design data models. You will develop data frameworks, manage user access, run tests, monitor performance, and assist with patches, migrations, audits, and compliance.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
At least 5 years' experience in application and database system role.
Familiar with SICS and SAP Business Intelligence, highly preferred; good knowledge of MS SQL and scripting.
Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and query optimization.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support for business applications and databases, resolving bugs and integrating new features.
Translate business rules and process needs into structured data requirements and system specifications.
Build and refine database frameworks to deliver accurate reporting and effective data extraction.
Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Assist with implementation of application patches, upgrades, and database migrations.
Support and manage user access to applications and databases.
Conduct system and application tests to ensure functionality and performance before releases.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply tuning measures to optimize performance.
In-charge of IT audits and BCP; ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
Backup of IT system support tasks.
Other assigned duties.
