Job summary

STEENBOK PTE LTD is seeking an Application Technical Specialist to lead modernization of Windows-based enterprise applications. You will drive upgrades, server migrations, middleware configuration, and production deployments while coordinating with IT security, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years in enterprise IT—development, infrastructure, or tech leadership.
• Hands-on with Windows Server, IIS, and deployment/support.
• Knowledge of web/app servers, networks, OS, databases, and security.
• Experience leading upgrades, migrations, or modernization.
• Familiar with IT security controls, cert management, hardening, vulnerabilities.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Banking/financial services exposure preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall is a plus.

About the role

• Provide technical leadership during design reviews, implementation, SIT/UAT, production deployment, and post-implementation support, resolving technical issues and minimizing project risks.

• Partner with business stakeholders, project teams, and vendors to manage technical dependencies, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure timely project delivery.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of experience in application development, infrastructure, or technical leadership roles within enterprise IT environments.

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Microsoft IIS, and enterprise application deployment and support.

• Good understanding of application infrastructure, including web servers, application servers, networking, operating systems, databases, and security.

• Experience leading application upgrade, technology refresh, migration, or infrastructure modernization projects.

• Familiarity with IT security controls, including certificate management, server hardening, vulnerability remediation, and production release processes.

• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders in complex project environments.

• Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
