Overview

Application Engineer (Trade Finance) is to provide application / operational support for all projects under the Trade applications platforms

Responsibilities

• Solution Design and Implementation:
  1. Collaborate with stakeholders (business users, technical teams, vendors) to gather, analyze, design, develop, test, and implement solutions for various projects, including but not limited to Trade Finance initiatives developments.
  2. Identify opportunities and transform them into solutions that drive business value.
  3. Validate the relevance of requirements and drive process improvement/standardization.
  4. Review and inspect work products of users, vendors, service providers, and technical teams.
  5. Develop relationships, establish credibility, and build confidence with business and operations teams.
  6. Effectively communicate the value of technology solutions to stakeholders.
  7. Comprehend how businesses and digital initiatives work, staying up to date on industry trends and best practices.
• Problem Solving and Management:
  1. Identify and solve problems objectively using analysis, experience, and judgment.
  2. Manage production support and incident resolution with IT suppliers to minimize business impact.
  3. Conduct vendor negotiations to ensure the best value and benefits for IT solutions.
  4. Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and IT suppliers
• Code Packaging and CI/CD:
  1. Design and implement efficient code packaging strategies and robust CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery across all environments.
  2. Develop automated tools and processes for code packaging, versioning, artifact management, and deployment.
  3. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement.
  4. Streamline the software development lifecycle, improve deployment efficiency, and enhance overall software quality.
• Requirement Management : Assimilate, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
• Solution Design and Evaluation : Analyse, Design, Define, Develop, Test and Deliver technical solutions, ensuring the quality of implementation.
• Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous process improvement to ensure the effectiveness of implemented solutions

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering preferred, with minimum 4 years of experience in these areas.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with various IT tools, technologies, and platforms relevant to corporate banking operations, particularly in areas like Trade Finance, Loan Processing or Payment.
  • Frontend: Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Backend: Java, Spring Boot, OpenJDK, Elixir, MariaDB, Oracle, MS SQL, Python, KAFKA, Unix Commands, Shell Scripting
  • Middleware: JBOSS, MQ, Maxscale, Connect Direct, SSH
  • DevOps: Linux, Windows, Apache HTTP Server, TWS Job Scheduling, CI/CD Deployment Process
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using a wide range of technologies.
