Job summary

USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCHERS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Application Engineer to support and enhance business-critical applications, covering development, configuration, and production support to ensure stable operations.

You will work across system operations, application development, and change management, applying SQL and .NET skills to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field from a local university in Singapore, or equivalent qualification.
• 2-3 years of experience in application development and support.
• Proficiency in SQL and .NET Core/.NET 6+ (C#).
• Understanding of application architecture and system flows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Strong ownership, quick learner, attention to detail, and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• System Operations & Application Support: Monitor application performance and system jobs to ensure service availability; Investigate and resolve user queries and system incidents; Perform structured troubleshooting across applications, databases, and interfaces; Communicate issue impact and resolution status clearly to stakeholders.
• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications and components; Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects; Implement functional enhancements and technical improvements; Support cross system integration development.
• System Configuration & Change Management: Configure and maintain system parameters, workflows, and user access controls; Support deployment activities and post-release verification; Ensure changes follow established change management processes; Maintain technical documentation for configurations and updates.
