Job summary

PASONA SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. invites a qualified Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineer to join our Tuas West team. You will tailor MGS (Diesel) projects, translating sales requirements into precise engineering drawings and specifications.

You'll work with sales, engineering, QA and procurement to develop proposals, costings and plots, review documents for compliance, and coordinate with vendors and EPC partners. Travel to other countries may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of product design or engineering design experience.
• Knowledge of industrial engines.
• Experience in manufacturing industries.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; engineering documentation.
• Engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Connect detailed technical information from sales to engineering to execute production orders.
• Develop technical proposals, plots, and cost estimates.
• Review tender specs and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Manage project documents and schedules across sales, engineering, QA, procurement and production.
• Develop equipment specifications and manage vendors to support customize MGS projects.
• Develop dealer networks and alliances with partner companies.
• Coordinate with internal/external parties and travel as needed.

Job Description

Customize MGS (Diesel) (75%)

• Connect detail technical information of a project from sales dept. to engineering dept. to execute production orders
• Enhance relationship with equipment manufacturers. (enclosure, remote radiator, panel, etc.)
• Develop a proposal and initial plots (plot plan, P&I, single line, wiring system diagram) based on customer requirements.
• Clarify each DOR of engineering, procurement, construction and after service among related company (EPC company, dealer, MHIESA, MHIET, etc.)
• Manage the project technical documents, schedule with sales, engineers, QA, procurement and production.
• Perform engineering calculation to support customization project requirement.
• Develop technical proposal, costing of customization project to sales department.
• Review technical documents (internal and external) to ensure it is according to project requirement.
• Develop equipment specification requirement and manage vendors to support customize MGS projects.

MGS-G (15%)

• Develop dealers for MGS-G, and building alliance with partner companies (EPC, Gas).
• Develop proposal and initial plot (plot plan, P&I, single line diagram, wiring system diagram) based on customer requirements.
• Review tender specification and constructed technical proposal to meet project requirement.
• Work closely with vendors, suppliers to proposal the suitable components, system design.
• Connect detail technical information of a project from sales dept. to engineering dept. to execute production orders.

Others

• Develop customer and build alliance with partner companies.
• Clarifying concept of new application
• Coordinate with internal departments, external partner company
• Develop initial proposal (plot plan, P&I, Single line, wiring system diagram) based on customer requirements
• To conform with Company Environmental practices
• Any other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirement

• Degree holder (mechanical or electrical engineering)
• Minimum 3 years of products design or engineering design experiences
• Good in data analysis and strong in problem solving skill
• Knowledge of industrial engines
• Experiences in manufacturing industries
• General Mechanical and Electrical knowledge is required.

• Competent in Microsoft Office software to prepare technical specifications and engineering documents.
