Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a capable engineer to support pre-sales and project feasibility for electrical/mechanical solutions. You will prepare specifications, engage with clients, and help tailor non-standard system proposals. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential to drive successful tender outcomes.

The role involves site surveys, collaboration with engineering and supply chain, and ensuring alignment with ISO standards while supporting sales targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 2-3 years of relevant technical solution expertise in a comparable role.
• Good interpersonal skills along with good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform project feasibility studies and propose alternative solutions.
• Work on project tender specifications.
• Attend project sites for survey and assist in integration proposals.
• Lead discussions with inquirers on installation design changes for exhaust and fuel supply considerations.
• Review requests for non-standard gensets/equipment for viability.
• Respond promptly to technical pre-sales inquiries.
• Generate project cost estimations including non-standard products and M&E works.
• Collaborate with engineering for feasibility studies and proposed solutions.
• Coordinate with the Senior IS Engineer to generate quotations for sales.
• Work with Supply Chain and vendors on pre-sales development of non-standard systems.
• Aim to achieve department and organization sales targets.
• Provide pre-sales technical support to distributors and dealers.
• Maintain ISO system pertaining to IS.

Job description

Specific Responsibilities

• Performs project feasibility studies, proposes alternative solutions, specifications deviation from inquiry documents
• Work on project tender specifications.
• Attend to project sites for survey and assist in integration proposal.
• Able to lead in discussions with inquirers on influencing specifications change especially on installation design considerations pertaining to exhaust and fuel supply system.
• Reviews requests for non-standard gensets and/or equipment to ensure all the necessary information has been provided and the requirements are technically and commercially viable
• Respond in timely manner to technical pre-sales inquires
• Generates project cost estimation (including non-standard products, M&E works and solutions selling)
• Works with engineering team for project feasibility studies and propose appropriate or alternative solutions in accordance to customer requirements
• Works closely with the Senior IS Engineer to generate quotation for sales team accordingly to the requirements
• Works closely with Supply Chain and supporting vendors in the pre-sales development of project and non-standard systems to meet customers’ needs
• Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for achieving organization sales target
• Provides pre-sales technical support to distributors and dealers
• Maintains ISO system pertaining to IS
