Job summary

Festo SE & Co. KG is seeking an Application Engineer with a strong electric automation background to act as a technical reference for customers, delivering expert consultation and solutions with high commercial competitiveness.

You will work closely with the sales team to drive electric automation growth, identify opportunities, and support pre-sales through post-sales commissioning, either remotely or onsite. A Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechatronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in factory automation application.
Knowhow of electric automation: PLCs, Motion, Drives, Fieldbus (EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, etc.).
Programming experience of common PLC brands, preferably Siemens and OMRON.

Responsibilities

Work as a technical expertise/consultant in electric automation to customer and guide to a system conceptual solution.
Perform feasibility studies by sample setups, simulations or calculations, and integrate solutions into customer environments.
Responsible for the implementation of complex motion tasks using electric drives.
End-to-end accountability to support customers from pre-sales proposal to post-sales commissioning, remote or onsite.
