Job summary

Johnson Controls in Singapore seeks an Application Engineer to provide technical support, respond to customer inquiries, and develop compelling quotes for composite applications. You will collaborate with engineering, sales and operations to design solutions with clear costing and timelines.

Travel with the business development team to customer facilities to discuss opportunities and create CAD-based proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Process & Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 1 year relevant working experience.
Knowledge of PLC programming.
Pcvue or ICONICS software experience preferred.
Willing to learn new things; entry level candidates are welcome.

Responsibilities

Respond to technical queries with detailed analysis of building management systems, tooling costing, and submittals to meet customer needs.
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and ops to define designs and materials for proposals.
Provide product technical engineering information through presentations; include 3D representations of components and tooling.
Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints and related documents and consulting with engineers.
Conceptual design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals.
Generate CAD models for components and assemblies.
Create detailed bill of materials for proposals.
Work as part of a design/engineering/ops team.
Knowledge of ACMV and Metasys is advantageous.
