Job summary

Abeam Consulting, a global professional services firm, is seeking a capable delivery lead to guide software and application development projects in Singapore.

You will translate business needs into specifications, coordinate with engineers and stakeholders across the SDLC, and ensure quality and timely releases. English and Japanese communication skills are essential to collaborate with Japanese-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Minimum 3 years of software/application development or project delivery.
• Experience across the SDLC including requirements, design, testing and deployment.
• Experience with mobile, payment or financial system apps is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jira or Confluence is advantageous.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and stakeholder management.
• Good English and Japanese communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of software and application development projects, including Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives, from requirements definition through development, testing and deployment.
• Analyse business and user requirements and translate them into application specifications, functional requirements and software solutions.
• Participate in the design, development and enhancement of application solutions, ensuring that solutions meet functional, technical, quality and performance requirements.
• Coordinate with application engineers, developers, system teams and other technical stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Review application requirements and specifications, identify potential technical or functional issues, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them.
• Plan and coordinate software testing and validation activities, including test scenarios, defect analysis, issue resolution and quality improvement.
• Monitor application development progress, software quality, technical issues and project risks, and implement preventive and corrective actions where required.
• Coordinate application interfaces and integration requirements with related systems, platforms and technical teams.
• Support application releases and production deployment activities, including release planning, readiness checks and post-deployment issue management.
• Drive continuous improvement of application development processes, software quality and development team productivity.
• Provide technical and project guidance to application development teams and coordinate work allocation to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with business users, clients and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues and ensure that application solutions meet business objectives.
• Maintain appropriate project and application documentation, including requirements, specifications, testing results, issue tracking and release information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software/application development or application development project delivery.
• Experience in the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, application design, development coordination, software testing, defect management and deployment.
• Experience in mobile application, payment application, financial system or other business-critical application development would be advantageous.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodologies would be advantageous.
• Experience with project and software development tools such as Jira, Confluence or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Good communication skills in both English and Japanese to effectively communicate and collaborate with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and clients.
