Job summary

ABeam Consulting seeks a senior enterprise software specialist to design, develop and implement core banking transformation solutions for clients across Asia. You will translate business needs into technical designs, build APIs and system integrations, and contribute to full SDLC from planning to post‑production support.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 5 years of experience in enterprise app development or core banking, and strong English and Japanese

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise application development or core banking system implementation.
• Experience in SDLC phases: analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Experience delivering enterprise banking or financial services software.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, web services and system interfaces.
• Fluency in English and Japanese (mandatory) for client collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance enterprise software solutions supporting core banking transformation initiatives.
• Analyse business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solution designs and software specifications.
• Develop application components, interfaces, APIs, and system integrations to support enterprise banking platforms.
• Prepare technical design documents, functional specifications, and software implementation artefacts.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑production support.
• Support end‑to‑end implementation of core banking systems, including software configuration, system integration, data validation, and technical deployment activities.
• Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and technical teams to deliver scalable and secure software solutions.
• Analyse system interfaces, integration requirements, and data flows to ensure seamless application interoperability.
• Support production releases, application enhancements, and continuous system improvements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in technical workshops, solution reviews, and implementation planning sessions.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, including software engineers, infrastructure teams, and client stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare project documentation, implementation reports, and project status updates for management and clients.
• Support proposal development, technical solution demonstrations, and client presentations for technology transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise application development, or core banking system implementation.
• Experience participating in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, solution design, software development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Experience developing, configuring, or implementing enterprise applications for banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, enterprise application integration, APIs, web services, and system interfaces.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating with solution architects, software engineers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams on large‑scale technology implementation projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in cross‑functional and multicultural project environments.
• Self‑motivated team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to technology consulting initiatives.
• Business‑level proficiency in English and Japanese (mandatory) to collaborate effectively with Japanese clients, regional project teams, and stakeholders.
