Job summary

Cognizant in Singapore is seeking an Appian Developer to join a government-focused delivery team. You will build and configure Appian components, implement security, and work with senior engineers to deliver compliant public-sector solutions.

You will develop interfaces, process models, CDTs, and integration with external systems, following government-grade coding, security, and documentation standards from day one. 2+ years' Appian experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years hands-on Appian development experience.
• Experience with Appian 20.x and above.
• Strong understanding of Appian security configuration.
• Working proficiency in SAIL scripting.
• Experience building and using CDTs.
• Experience with Task Reports, Records, and Sites.
• Exposure to external system integration.
• Solid knowledge of RDBMS fundamentals.
• Appian best practices knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build Appian interfaces (SAIL), process models, Records, Sites, and Task Reports according to design specifications.
• Implement Appian security configuration (groups, role maps) as directed by the Senior Developer/Architect.
• Develop and maintain CDTs required for assigned modules.
• Support external system integration work under the guidance of senior team members.
• Implement functional requirements as translated from business/user stories into Appian components.
• Perform unit testing and fix defects identified during SIT/UAT cycles.
• Maintain clean, well-documented code aligned to Appian and project coding standards.
• Assist with data migration, environment setup tasks, and deployment activities as required.
• Escalate blockers or design ambiguities promptly to Senior Developer/Architect.
