Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes APAC team is seeking a Manager, APAC Transportation Lead, to optimize regional transport flows across inbound and outbound networks in Asia Pacific and beyond. Based in Singapore, you will lead cross-functional coordination with manufacturing sites, distributors, and logistics providers.

This role requires 6–8 years in supply chain and transportation, strong knowledge of trade and compliance, and experience with global control towers and TMS/ERP tools.

Qualifications

6–8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, transportation, trade compliance, logistics, or related operational roles.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience with global trade, customs regulations, and import/export operations within APAC is highly desirable.

THE OPPORTUNITY

DePuy Synthes, the orthopedics business of Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting for a Manager, APAC Transportation Lead, based in Leeds UK or Cork Ireland. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate its Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal and regulatory requirements. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive value across APAC through optimized regional transportation flows for both inbound freight (from manufacturing sites and global hubs to regional hubs, and from hubs to local affiliates and distributor warehouses) and outbound flows to APAC customers: affiliates, distributors, hospitals. Manage relationships with third-party and fourth-party logistics providers (including global Control Tower partners) through performance metrics, strategic direction, and continuous improvement programs. Support further deployment, development and maturity of the Global control tower in APAC region Lead performance measurement of transport reliability through critical metrics aligned with regional Plan, Make, and Deliver operations teams; provide input into executive performance reviews. Deliver on annual cost improvement and productivity targets through operational improvements while protecting service, quality, reliability, and compliance. Translate regional inventory strategy and business requirements into innovative transportation solutions; support transportation set-up for manufacturing network changes and new product launches.

ABOUT YOU

Required 6–8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, transportation, trade compliance, logistics, or related operational roles, aligned with a manager-level position. Strong working knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and import/export operations within Asia Pacific. Solid expertise across core transportation, planning, and carrier / logistics-provider management, including familiarity with control-tower operating models. Excellent analytical skills and an affinity for numbers: ability to support budgeting, financial reconciliation, and identify cost-saving opportunities in transportation. Desirable Bachelor's degree required (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or related field). Master's degree or MBA preferred. Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries. Familiarity with global trade systems, transportation management systems, enterprise resource planning platforms, and transport & trade visibility & automation tools. Demonstrated experience leading regional or global process standardization initiatives. Understanding of good distribution practice and a quality-first approach. Lean or continuous improvement certification is a plus. Demonstrated awareness of artificial intelligence concepts and responsible / ethical use, with experience generating effective prompts to boost productivity. Other Language: English required; additional languages are a plus. Travel: Up to 25–30% regional and international travel.
