Job summary

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) is seeking a Regional Trade Credit Underwriter to service and expand Trade Credit Asia Pacific, with emphasis on Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia.

The role involves risk analysis, underwriting renewals and new business, and negotiating terms while building relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will analyze financial statements, manage a regional portfolio, and travel as needed to meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level or equivalent in finance or accounting.
• Strong ability to analyze financial statements and credit data.
• Experience in trade credit or banking/finance sectors.
• Experience communicating with C-suite or senior stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced underwriting environment.
• Willingness to travel for business requirements.
• Proficiency in English and at least one regional language.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client and broker relationships.

Responsibilities

• Service and expand Trade Credit Asia Pacific’s line of business across region, focusing on key markets.
• Analyze risk from submissions and provide quotations for binding the risk.
• Ensure underwriting excellence through adherence to procedures and reports.
• Underwrite new and renewal submissions and negotiate policy terms.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, producers and service providers.
• Develop pipeline and execute regional strategies.
• Engage in broker/client meetings to maintain local market presence.
• Support regional leadership with timely data reporting and assist new joiners.
