Job summary

Tate & Lyle is seeking a Senior Sensory Manager, APAC based in Singapore to lead regional sensory research and collaborate with Innovation, Commercial Development and Technical Service teams. You will mentor scientists, develop strategies for product performance across ingredients globally, and ensure testing excellence within the region.

You will oversee regional descriptive programs, drive insights from data, and guide cross‑functional teams to align sensory science with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science/technology/engineering or sensory related field; Master’s preferred.
• Fluency in English with strong written/verbal communication; ability to present complex data clearly.
• Minimum 10–15 years in technical services within the CPG food/bev sector; deep sensory expertise.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more Sensory teams and manage high‑impact scientific projects across the APAC region.
• Develop innovative sensory initiatives and procedures aligning with corporate goals.
• Identify insights from metadata analysis and build predictive models for visualization.
• Provide guidance to cross‑functional teams on sensory quality and product performance.
• Analyze and report sensory data; translate insights into actionable strategies for leadership.
• Ensure adherence to policies, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate sensory science into long‑term plans.
• Own the Regional Descriptive Program and coordinate test scheduling with PMs and panel leads.
• Lead gap assessments to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reproducibility.
• Protect IP through knowledge management and invention disclosure where applicable.
• Represent Tate & Lyle at research events and conferences; communicate findings clearly.
• Contribute to site management, supporting ED&I and EHSQS activities.
• Draft invention disclosures and mentor colleagues in sensory training.
