Job summary

dLocal is seeking an APAC Regulatory Performance & Compliance Officer to support the APAC Regulatory Lead on regulatory matters and to help oversee legal entities in the region. This hands-on IC role collaborates with business, legal, and compliance teams while engaging regulators and external counsel to navigate complex cross‑border environments.

The role prioritizes Singapore, China, or Malaysia, with potential consideration of other APAC locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of regulatory affairs, licensing, compliance, or legal advisory roles.
• Hands-on experience with APAC regulatory matters in payments/fintech.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret APAC financial, payments, and fintech regulations; prepare summaries and impact notes.
• Provide regulatory input to internal teams by identifying requirements, documenting risks, and proposing options.
• Maintain and track compliance training materials and completion.
• Prepare briefing materials and analyses on regulatory developments for the APAC Lead.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across divisions to implement regulatory requirements.
• Draft internal communications and organize briefings; track attendance and follow-ups.
• Maintain sections of policies and procedures; ensure clarity and practicality.
• Update the compliance calendar and ensure timely regulatory returns; escalate risks.
• Assess AML/CFT, data privacy, and fintech regulations; follow up remediation actions.
