Job summary

Vitol Asia Pte Ltd invites a Regional Tax Executive to support APAC tax operations, focusing on indirect tax compliance and tax system automation. You will assist with direct tax and transfer pricing, and liaise between APAC Tax and cross-functional stakeholders on regional projects.

The role emphasizes tax process optimization, risk management, and collaboration with IT to implement tax technology. Minimum 6–8 years in corporate tax with APAC exposure is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in corporate tax and/or GST/VAT, with prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or MNC.
• Knowledge and experience working with tax technology solutions is a must.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to communicate tax technical issues, especially with non-tax professionals.
• Effective in influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Familiar with tax laws within the APAC region.
• Proactive and hands-on attitude.
• Meticulous with keen attention to details.
• Able to multi-task and work under reasonable pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Team oriented and process driven.

Responsibilities

• Triage tax issues raised by users to identify root causes and support/resolve accordingly.
• Collaborate with IT teams/system developers to translate business/tax requirements into technical solutions, as well as to test, implement and enhance tax technology solutions for automation and efficiency.
• Participate in implementation projects for in-house developed tax engine & new e-invoicing scheme.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can improve direct tax and indirect tax work processes.
• Assist in preparing tax schedules and managing tax compliance reporting and payment deadlines and other related matters for entities within the APAC region.
• Assist in preparing monthly tax provisions for Singapore entities.
• Assist in preparing responses to information requests by tax authorities.
• Assist in preparing & liaising with external tax consultants on ACAP for GST, CTRM, BEPS Pillar Two and TP documentation.
• Keep abreast of changes and/or developments in tax laws and administrative practices for APAC and analyse the corresponding implications.
