Job summary

AAA Global in Singapore is seeking an experienced APAC Gas Analyst to join the commodities investment team. The successful candidate will conduct fundamental research and develop actionable trading strategies across Asian LNG and natural gas markets, with a strong emphasis on JKM.

This role requires deep knowledge of APAC supply-demand dynamics, LNG flows, and cross-benchmark pricing relationships. You will work closely with portfolio managers and traders to identify opportunities and support

Qualifications

• 5+ years of LNG or natural gas market experience.
• Strong knowledge of JKM and APAC LNG markets.
• Experience in fundamental supply-and-demand analysis.
• Experience developing trading strategies from fundamental research.
• Proficiency in Python or SQL is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of APAC LNG and natural gas markets.
• Build and maintain supply-and-demand models for production, shipping, storage and consumption.
• Analyze JKM pricing, forward curves, flows and regional balances.
• Monitor cargo movements, vessel activity, outages, weather and infrastructure developments.
• Assess demand across China, Japan, Korea, India and other Asian markets.
• Evaluate pricing relationships and arbitrage between JKM and global benchmarks.
• Translate research into actionable trading strategies for the team.
• Identify market dislocations and trading opportunities across markets.
• Collaborate with PMs and traders on trade construction and risk management.
• Produce clear, timely research and market views.
