Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Internal Auditor for APAC Regulatory & Financial Operations to help build and scale our audit program across APAC. You will join a global IA team to assess governance, risk management, and internal controls, aligning with regulatory requirements in the APAC region.

The role emphasizes collaboration with regulators, cross-functional stakeholders, and ongoing remediation to strengthen Stripe's controls and compliance posture in a fast-evolving FinTech landscape.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, or compliance.
• Experience auditing a wide range of internal controls: financial crime, finance, operations, payments, regulatory compliance, third-party risk, business continuity, data protection.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in risk-based audit execution, reporting, and scalable governance/compliance/operational controls.
• Strong analytical skills with data analytics and continuous monitoring tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex issues to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to support cross-functional remediation efforts and track closure of actions.
• High integrity, independence and professional skepticism.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of a risk-based internal audit strategy reflecting emerging risks and regulatory obligations.
• Evaluate and test governance, risk management, internal controls, compliance, financial reporting and processes for effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to timely assessments and reports for leadership on risk, controls and governance.
• Support engagement with partners and regulators; prepare audit evidence and findings to bolster oversight.
• Communicate complex risks and impacts to senior stakeholders including Board and regulators in APAC.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate findings into durable remediation plans and sustain relationships for audit planning.
• Build understanding of the business to identify areas of need and advisory opportunities.
• Stay current on standards (GAAP/IFRS), MAS, RBI, BOT, ASIC, BNM, network mandates, and trends.
