Job summary

UBS is seeking an Investment Strategist for the CIO APAC credit team, based in Singapore or Hong Kong, to lead bottom-up credit analysis across Asia ex-Japan and publish strategic insights.

The role requires 8+ years in Asia credit, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English. You will collaborate with Investment Counsellors, review client portfolios, and contribute to the CIO House View with timely research and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 8+ years of experience in Asia credit and broad market understanding.
• Strong analytical skills with knowledge of credit markets and rates.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin a plus.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg and CapitalIQ is a plus.
• Interest in applying AI to improve workflows and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Focus on Asia ex-Japan corporate and sovereign bond markets in hard and local currencies.
• Develop a bottom-up credit analysis framework for issuers with financial models.
• Provide relative value recommendations to beat a benchmark.
• Publish credit strategy reports and issuer updates; lead thematic ideas.
• Communicate views to internal and external clients, supporting CIO House View.
• Collaborate with Investment Counsellors and Advisors on pitches and portfolios.
• Maintain integrity of internal bond databases.
