Job summary

Wise Asia-Pacific PTE. LTD. seeks an Arbitration Specialist focused on the APAC region to manage arbitration cases and interact with external arbitration bodies to ensure fair, compliant outcomes.

You’ll maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and contribute to policy and operational improvements within complaints and wider operations. Qualifications

• At least 12–24 months in a Financial Ombudsman office, regulatory body, bank, or FinTech handling dispute resolution within APAC.
• Legal and regulatory acumen is valued; a legal background or compliance exposure is advantageous.
• Impeccable written and verbal English skills.
• Strong multitasking across channels (email, phone, chat) under pressure.
• Experience communicating across international, cross-team, or cross-geo contexts.
• Meticulous auditing of case files and evidence.
• Ability to leverage BI data and identify trends for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Investigate arbitration cases with thorough background information and evidence.
• Assess externally decided cases and ensure arbitration bodies have necessary evidence.
• Maintain APAC regulatory expertise; monitor changes and interpret impact.
• Contribute to policy and process improvements with compliance, operations, and product teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and share feedback with relevant teams.
• Defend Wise against reputational risk from adverse decisions.
• Ensure cases are handled within SLAs and regulatory deadlines.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to communicate case context to arbitration bodies.
