AP Accountant: Automate Payables & Reporting

Job summary

Referment is seeking a proactive accounts payable professional in Singapore to support day-to-day AP workloads, including processing invoices and payment runs, with a strong drive to automate repetitive tasks. You will validate payment requests with local teams, Treasury and Settlements, while identifying opportunities to streamline processes using Excel, Power Query, and Python.

The role blends accounting with automation.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in accountancy, finance or a related discipline.
• Experience in accounts payable in a large or high-volume environment with process improvement or automation exposure.
• Basic Python with interest in automation for accounting and AP workflows.
• Familiarity with SAP or another ERP and strong Excel skills with Macros, Power Query, Python or SQL a plus.
• Accuracy and attention to detail with financial data and deadlines; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and prepare payment runs.
• Validate payment requests with local teams, Treasury and Settlements.
• Resolve payment queries with business units, external parties and banks.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive AP tasks and implement practical solutions.
• Provide backup coverage for other AP teammates and support reporting.
