Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a seasoned professional to join the Wealth Solutions Operations (WSO) team in Singapore. The role focuses on end-to-end governance and controls across wealth management operational processes, collaborating with CMPS, Product, GBS hubs, Compliance, Finance, and auditors to drive efficiency and risk management.

You will review DOIs, perform balance sheet substantiation, and support preparation of weekly and monthly MIS updates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Governance, Risk Management, and Control Oversight across Wealth Management and Financial Markets Operations.
• Strong expertise in Corporate Actions, Settlements, Reconciliations, FATCA/CRS Compliance, Sanctions Screening, Data Privacy, and Capital Markets products.
• Experience in Custody and Asset Servicing Operations, including Safekeeping, Income Processing, Tax Operations, and SWIFT Messaging.

Responsibilities

• Support governance and controls of end-to-end operational processes covering WM products.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across Corporate Actions, Settlements, Asset Transfers, Tax Operations, and Balance Sheet Substantiation.
• Review DOIs, perform Balance Sheet reconciliation and substantiation daily and monthly, and manage advice/contract notes processing.
• Collate and submit weekly & monthly MIS and project updates to Management.
• Assist in governance reviews with outsourcing hubs and regulatory/compliance teams.

Job description

Working as part of the Wealth Solutions Operations (WSO) team in Singapore to provide end-to- end governance and controls of Operational processes covering WM products supported by GBS and WSO hubs. The incumbent will work with key stakeholders across Corporate actions, Settlements, Asset Transfers, Account Maintenance, Tax Operations, Balance Sheet Substantiation, Nostro, Sundry & Suspense Reconciliation and support Product Managers, Country / Group related Projects and Process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

• To support the 5G321-Growth strategy of the Singapore franchise to become the leading wealth manager to affluent clients.

Business

• The job holder will work with WMO’s stakeholders including CMPS, Product, GBS hubs in KL & India, Contact Centre & Client experience teams, Compliance, Finance, and auditors to achieve Business and Operational efficiency targets. In addition, the job holder will assist in the collation, preparation and submission of weekly & Monthly Key MIS and Project updates to Management.

Processes

• The job holder will be responsible for reviewing DOIs from Country and GBS teams and perform Balance Sheet reconciliation and substantiation for Wealth Solutions account balances including validation & attestation of all relevant Sundry and Suspense accounts against WM TPSS (Transaction Processing Settlement systems) on a daily and monthly basis. He / She will also manage the preparation, printing and mailing of Advice & Contract notes and general query processing instructions covering account opening and tax operations related queries.

Risk Management

• The job holder will support the Country Process Owner in the management of operational risk across processes to identify, assess, manage, mitigate, monitor, report and elevate operational and technology risks within the ambit of the Operational Risk Framework.

Governance

• The job holder will be responsible for assisting the Head of WSO SG in the governance of processing Hubs (GBS KL & India & WSO SG), Custodian and 3rd Party service providers including the conduct of Service and periodic risk reviews, and managing e all queries related to governance, tax, regulatory and statutory issues.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in Governance, Risk Management, and Control Oversight across Wealth Management and Financial Markets Operations.
• Strong expertise in Corporate Actions, Settlements, Reconciliations, FATCA/CRS Compliance, Sanctions Screening, Data Privacy, and Capital Markets products, with a proven ability to strengthen controls, manage risk, and drive operational excellence.
• Strong experience in Custody and Asset Servicing Operations, including Safekeeping, Income Processing, Tax Operations, and SWIFT Messaging.
• Successfully led process improvements, enhanced compliance frameworks, improved client outcomes, and leveraged digital innovation, automation, and AI to increase efficiency, resilience, and business value

Role Specific Technical Competencies

• Product Knowledge of Capital market products with expertise in Mutual Funds / Unit Trust /Structured Notes and Equities.
