Job description

Role Overview

The role supports the Investment Management team by identifying and evaluating real estate opportunities through market research, strategy papers and financial modelling, preparing investment materials for decision-making, coordinating closely with internal teams and industry partners, maintaining the portfolio model, and managing quarterly valuations, reports and investor queries.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Investment Management.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential real estate investment opportunities.
• Develop comprehensive strategy papers that present insights and recommendations based on market findings.
• Perform complex financial modelling and analysis to evaluate the potential returns and risks of various investment opportunities.
• Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations to support investment decisions.
• Collaborate with other members of the investment team, including asset managers, property managers, and legal counsel, to evaluate potential investments and manage existing assets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate brokers, owners, and other industry professionals to source potential investment opportunities.
• Assist in maintaining and updating 8M’s portfolio model.
• Prepare quarterly valuations and coordinate approvals from internal stakeholders and investors
• Coordinate and prepare quarterly report and data packages to investors, as well as managing all investor queries in relation to the portfolio.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in in Finance, Real Estate or equivalent.
• At least 1-5 years of experience in real estate investment analysis, private equity or related fields; Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcomed to apply.
• In-depth knowledge of real estate investment analysis and valuation methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills preferably with experience presenting to senior management and investors.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office – Excel, Powerpoint and other relevant software.
