Job summary

Allianz SE in Singapore is seeking a Regional Life Actuarial Analyst to support regional projects enhancing actuarial models, governance and reporting, and to collaborate with local entities across Asia.

You will work on model enhancements, validation, and documentation; contribute to IFRS17 and SII reporting, leverage automation, and travel within Asia as needed. The role offers hybrid work arrangements and development opportunities within Allianz.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of actuarial experience in insurance.
  • Ability to travel within Asia.
  • Proficient in IFRS 17 standards.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Purpose

The role sits in the Regional Life Actuarial team and will be responsible to support key regional projects of enhancing actuarial model, governance and reporting, and to collaborate with the local entities in achieving these goals.

What you do
  1. Actuarial model and governance:
    Support model enhancement, with a focus on asset-liability interaction and management rules
    Perform model validation to ensure minimum requirements are met
    Collaborate with local entities to enhance model documentation, including key methodologies, management actions, simplification list etc.
    Coordinate model changes from local entities and ensure alignment with the Group model governance framework
  2. Reporting:
    Support reporting enhancement across entities, including movement analysis, reconciliations and driver attribution, in accordance to Group requirements and to support clearer explanation of IFRS17 and SII metrics
    Improve reporting process, leveraging on automation
What you bring
  • More than 3+ years experience in insurance industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial or equivalent
  • At least 3+ years of working experience in Actuarial function in dynamic insurance industry
  • Able to work independently
  • Work well in team and good interpersonal skill is essential
  • Willing to travel within Asia
  • Experience in Taiwan and in consulting
  • Good understanding of IFRS 17 Standards
  • Experience in financial analysis and Actuarial modelling
  • Proficiency in computer skills such as Microsoft Office suite, Visual Basic and PowerPoint
  • AI skills, e.g. ChatGPT and Copilot an advantage
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Able to speak other Asian language, e.g. Mandarin
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, with ability to communicate to a wide variety of levels
