IAMA Marine Singapore Pte. Ltd. is looking for an Analytical Chemist / Fuel Quality Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
Witness and review marine fuel laboratory analysis under ISO/IEC 17020 requirements.
Conduct marine fuel tank sampling onboard vessels.
Perform fuel oil testing onboard ship, including quality and compatibility assessments.
Conduct fuel compatibility tests and interpret results.
Prepare professional fuel analysis and investigation reports.
Advise clients on fuel quality, off-specification issues, contamination and compatibility.
Investigate fuel quality disputes and abnormal test results.
Liaise with laboratories, shipowners, suppliers and surveyors.
Requirements:
Degree in Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or related field.
Experience with marine fuels / petroleum products preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 8217, ASTM/IP standards and fuel testing.
Strong analytical, technical and report-writing skills.
Marine fuel laboratory or bunker industry experience will be an advantage.
