AML Tech Data Engineer – Full-Stack & DevOps

Job summary

UBS is seeking a software engineer to develop, maintain and operate in-house AML software components in a Singapore-based team. You will write clean, functional code for front- and back-end, and participate in designing scalable enterprise software while providing SME guidance on build chains and library management.

You will join an agile engineering team, collaborating with a Technical Lead, BAs, Data Analysts, testers and fellow developers to deliver robust IT solutions for financial crime

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Java, SQL, Python, and Shell.
• Experience with DevOps tools: Git, GitLab Pipelines, Nexus, Jira, Ansible, RPM packaging.
• Familiar with MS Azure cloud.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Comfortable in a Linux-based server environment with Bash.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills.
• Background in Financial Crimes Prevention, AML.
• Experience with AML Transaction Monitoring solutions, preferably Actimize SAM.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and operate in-house AML software component.
• Write clean, functional code on the front- and back-end.
• Participate in design and creation of scalable enterprise software.
• Provide SME expertise on software build chains and library management.
• Act as an agile member in an agile engineering team.
• Work closely with the Technical Lead, Business Analysts, Data Analysts, testers and other developers.
