We are seeking an experienced and driven Enterprise Job Scheduling Platform Engineer to support the engineering, governance, and continuous improvement of Enterprise Job Scheduling Platform Services. The role is responsible for ensuring that enterprise scheduling platforms are reliable, resilient, secure, and operated in accordance with established technology and operational standards. You will play a key role in managing scheduler infrastructure and configurations, strengthening platform governance, supporting workload onboarding and migration, and partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver consistent and effective scheduling services across the enterprise.
Provide engineering ownership for enterprise scheduling platforms and their supporting components, including scheduler master servers, agents, database repositories, authentication and security integrations, high availability configurations, and related infrastructure.
Plan and execute platform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, capacity management, high availability, disaster recovery, and lifecycle activities. Ensure scheduling services are designed and maintained to support operational resilience and critical business workloads.
Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise scheduling standards, procedures, and engineering practices within the organisation. Drive consistency across environments and improve platform reliability, supportability, and efficiency through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Partner with application owners and production support teams to onboard, migrate, and integrate workloads onto enterprise scheduling platforms. Contribute to platform modernisation and migration initiatives while ensuring appropriate planning, validation, control, and service continuity.
Ensure scheduling platforms comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, security standards, and audit expectations. Identify platform risks and vulnerabilities, coordinate remediation activities, and support risk acceptance processes where remediation cannot be completed within the required timeline.
Maintain standard operating procedures and process controls for enterprise scheduling services. Work closely with Change Management and Infrastructure teams to ensure platform changes are assessed, approved, implemented, validated, and documented in a controlled manner.
Provide technical guidance and support for complex scheduling, infrastructure, configuration, and integration issues. Work effectively with application owners, production support teams, Change Management, Infrastructure, and senior management stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver service improvements.
