Job summary

NEXadept in Singapore is seeking an accomplished Algorithm Engineer to spearhead core matching and marketing algorithm architectures. You will design and iterate engines that influence transaction efficiency, marketing performance, and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field with 3+ years in Recommendation Systems, Search, or Advertising.
• Deep understanding of ML concepts with practical experience in causal inference, forecasting, and related areas.
• Solid coding foundations and experience with ML/DL frameworks.
• High data sensitivity and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.

We are partnering with leading digital transportation marketplace expanding in SEA. Our client is seeking a talented and driven Algorithm Engineer to spearhead core matching transaction and marketing algorithm architectures.

In this role, you will design and iterate algorithmic engines that directly influence transaction efficiency, marketing performance, and overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Algorithm Development: Design, build, and iterate core matching transaction algorithms and marketing algorithms, driving measurable, continuous improvements across critical scenario metrics.
• Business & User Impact: Leverage advanced algorithmic capabilities to elevate user experience and maximize business outcomes.
• End-to-End Model Engineering: Independently manage model R&D sub-modules across the full lifecycle, including data pipeline processing, feature engineering, model training, deployment, and real-time monitoring.
• Data-Driven Strategy: Detect bottlenecks and gaps in existing models and mechanism strategies through data analysis, formulating actionable improvement proposals and driving their implementation.
• Technical Innovation: Partner with senior technical leaders to pioneer algorithmic improvements and technological innovations tailored to real-world business dynamics.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Recommendation Systems, Search, or Advertising.
• ML Expertise: Deep understanding of machine learning principles. Extensive practical experience in causal inference, time-series forecasting, spatio-temporal data mining, multi-task learning, online learning, reinforcement learning, or operations research and optimization is strongly preferred.
• Technical Stack: Solid coding foundations with proven proficiency in mainstream machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
• Analytical Mindset: High data sensitivity, sharp intuition for data collection and analysis, and rigorous logical problem-solving abilities.
• Soft Skills & Execution: Strong cross-team collaboration, clear communication, a business- and product-oriented mindset, and the resilience to execute under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
