Job summary

Staffking Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an engineer to own the technical side of aircraft engine repairs, supporting mature repairs by resolving discrepancies and proposing out-of-manual solutions.

You will design and source quotes for fixtures and tools, perform First Article inspections, and set of process parameters for new repairs and equipment. You will lead investigations into quality issues and collaborate with authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in aircraft engine maintenance, repair or manufacturing.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical side of engine product repairs, supporting mature repairs by resolving manual discrepancies and proposing out-of-manual repair solutions.
• Design, review and source quotes for production repair fixtures, jigs and tools, and assess tooling and consumable equivalency.
• Carry out First Article inspections on new repairs and prepare capability setup and declarations on new repairs, equipment or processes for authority submission.
• Take charge of repair special processes, set and govern process parameters, and drive improvements and cost savings.
• Maintain in-house process specifications, prepare maintenance procedures (FMM) for new equipment and aviation HIRA risk assessments for new processes.
• Lead or support investigations into product and process quality failures or industrial incidents, carry out root cause analysis and follow through on corrective and preventive actions.
• Liaise with authorities such as NEA on process requirements where needed.
