Job summary

Adecco Personnel Pte Ltd (Outsourcing) is seeking a junior airfreight operations assistant at Changi Airfreight Centre. You will coordinate daily airfreight warehouse activities, handle inbound/outbound cargo movements, and liaise with airlines and internal teams to ensure on-time shipments.

The role requires basic qualification and willingness to work shifts including Saturdays and overtime. Night shifts are advantageous and shift allowances apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum N/O Level, NITEC, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in airfreight, warehouse, logistics or airport cargo is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of air cargo handling and shipping documentation preferred.
• Ability to work in a busy operational environment.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to work shifts, alternate Saturdays, and overtime when required.
• Candidates willing to work night shift are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily airfreight warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound cargo movements.
• Handle receiving, checking, sorting, labeling, and dispatching of air cargo shipments.
• Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, transporters, and internal operations teams to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Monitor flight schedules, cargo arrivals, and departures to ensure timely shipment processing.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Air Waybills (AWB), delivery orders, and cargo manifests.
• Track shipment status and follow up on cargo delays, discrepancies, or missing shipments.
• Update shipment information and cargo movements in the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Ensure compliance with aviation security procedures and workplace safety regulations.
• Assist with cargo reconciliation, inventory checks, and daily operational reporting.
• Support urgent shipments and resolve operational issues to meet delivery timelines.
