Job summary

Marsh Risk in Singapore is seeking a senior AI/ML architect to lead the Asia Risk Consulting team's technology strategy and delivery. You will design scalable AI systems, guide architecture decisions, and collaborate with risk engineers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

You will mentor engineers, own security and governance considerations, and drive successful projects in a hybrid setup with three days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Python for AI/ML development and production‑grade coding.
• Five+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions in production enterprise environments.
• Strong background in AI/ML frameworks, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, NLP, and document intelligence.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise data architecture.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills with proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and lead workshops.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
• Relevant professional certifications such as AWS ML Specialty, Azure Data Scientist, GCP Professional ML Engineer, or TOGAF.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary business-facing lead for the Insurance risk consulting team, running requirements workshops and capturing user stories with Risk Engineers and SMEs.
• Produce high-level architecture and component design for AI systems including ingestion, vector indexing, retrieval, LLM orchestration, backend APIs, frontend, storage, and monitoring.
• Define AI/RAG approaches, create prompt engineering playbooks, and select technology choices aligned with Risk Consulting requirements.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, privacy, and governance standards, including PII handling and responsible AI practices.
• Design UX flows and wireframes for onsite applications, collaborating with engineering teams on implementation.
• Lead code and architecture reviews, mentor engineering teams, and maintain technical oversight during delivery.
