Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking a Manager in Technology Risk Management within the Risk & Quality function. You will identify, assess, and govern technology and AI-related risks, leading TRAs and shaping risk controls across PwC’s technology landscape.

You will collaborate with technology teams and stakeholders to ensure responsible adoption of digital technologies, translate governance frameworks into practical requirements, and deliver high-quality risk reporting and governance support.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology risk management, AI governance, IT risk, information security, regulatory compliance, or related fields.
• Understanding of responsible AI principles and AI risk or governance frameworks is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Technology Risk Assessments (TRAs) including scoping, risk identification, control evaluation, documentation, and remediation recommendations.
• Support design and improvement of technology risk management processes and controls, with initial focus on AI governance.
• Assess risks related to Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, machine learning and other emerging technologies.
• Lead or support risk reviews of AI-enabled solutions and tools, including data handling, model limitations, and monitoring requirements.
• Contribute to AI governance processes and translate regulatory expectations into practical reviews and controls.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership and governance forums.
• Analyze risk trends and identify opportunities to improve risk management practices and efficiency.
• Assist in regulatory reviews, special projects, and firm-wide risk initiatives.
