Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking an AI Researcher (PhD/Master) to join a growing team building next-generation analytical tools and AI agents powered by LLMs. You will work at the intersection of Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistical Research, and Agentic AI.

You will develop predictive models, design AI agents powered by LLMs, and transform complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders, using Python and SQL in your day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong foundation in Python, SQL, statistics, and machine learning.
• Exposure to LLMs, AI agents, or Generative AI is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Fresh graduates with relevant projects, research, or internship experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical, predictive, and machine learning models.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), hypothesis testing, and model validation.
• Design and build LLM-powered AI agents and autonomous workflows.
• Develop data pipelines and analytical tools using Python and SQL.
• Communicate research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI technologies.
