Job summary

Nanyang Technological University’s ASE invites applications for a Research Associate to advance integrated assessment modeling on a Singapore MOE funded project hosted by ASE. The Yanyan Cheng research group seeks to examine interactions among land, water, carbon, energy, climate, ecosystems, and human systems.

This is a one-year appointment with potential renewal based on performance and funding availability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in information and communication engineering.
• Experience in 3D point-cloud processing is highly desirable.
• Strong publication record in computer science/remote sensing.
• Proficient in Python and MATLAB with deep-learning framework experience.
• Ability to write and present technical papers clearly.
• Experience with remote sensing and computer vision.

Responsibilities

• Collect, curate, validate, and document large-scale multimodal ecohydrological remote sensing datasets.
• Train and evaluate models on large datasets and HPC systems; establish reproducible baselines, ablation studies, and evaluation suites.
• Apply the developed datasets and models to the monitoring and analysis of tropical ecohydrological processes.
