Job summary

Singtel is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Intern to help explore, prototype, and validate AI-native solutions for enterprise use cases. You will work closely with Forward Deployed Engineers, AI engineers, solution architects, and platform teams to turn ambiguous business problems into practical experiments and lightweight workflows.

Designed for curious AI-native builders, this internship emphasizes learning through delivery, with a focus on demos, documentation, and hands-on execution

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, AI/ML, or related field.
• Hands-on project, coursework, hackathon, internship, or personal-build experience involving AI/GenAI and software development.
• Basic AI-first engineering mindset with willingness to experiment and learn.
• Working knowledge of Python and rapid prototyping workflows.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompts, APIs, notebooks, or experimentation workflows.
• Ability to test, debug, document, and improve lightweight AI prototypes.
• Curious, proactive learner with strong ownership of tasks and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support market sensing and research on AI, GenAI, and enterprise automation trends.
• Assist in building PoC AI/GenAI solutions under guidance from engineers and leads.
• Contribute to improving prototypes through testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Experiment with AI models, tools, prompts, and workflows for feasibility checks.
• Help design AI-native workflows and lightweight applications for demos and pilots.
• Partner with engineers and architects to understand requirements and handover prototypes.
• Apply software engineering practices with guidance from senior team members.
• Prepare demos and share learnings to help teams adopt AI solutions.
• Document experiment outcomes and implementation notes for reuse and scaling.
