Job summary

Keppel Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Data Scientist to shape an AI/ML-based predictive maintenance platform. You will work on real-time IoT signals from diverse assets, applying both classical and Gen AI techniques, and push experiments toward production, not just notebooks.

You will own model development and monitoring, balancing performance, explainability, and deployment constraints, while collaborating with product managers and engineers to deliver rapid, robust ML solutions.

Qualifications

• Develop, train, and fine-tune models on time-series sensor data for anomaly detection and failure prediction.
• Apply a mix of forecasting, anomaly detection, changepoint detection, survival analysis, and representation learning techniques.
• Deliver ML models into dev or production environments every 1–2 week sprint.
• Balance performance, explainability, compute cost, and deployment constraints in modeling decisions.

Responsibilities

• Model Development: develop, train, and fine-tune models on time-series sensor data for anomaly detection and failure prediction across asset types.
• Model Performance Monitoring: monitor model performance in production, manage drift, and set retraining/rollback strategies.
• Team Collaboration: explain model behavior clearly, share results, and align ML decisions with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
