Job summary

LawNet Technology Services Pte Ltd (LTS) is seeking an AI/ML Backend Engineer to design, deploy, and scale AI-driven services that support LawNet's custom LLMs.

You will build scalable backend solutions on AWS, manage model runtimes (SageMaker, Bedrock), develop data pipelines, ensure security and observability, and collaborate with AI engineers and MLOps to advance generative AI for legal research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics, or related field.
• Proven experience in NLP or related areas with data engineering and model training/finetuning.
• Strong understanding of ML algorithms and language modelling.
• Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries (NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face).
• Experience with cloud platforms and deploying large models in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services on AWS for LLMs and Generative AI applications.
• Manage model runtimes including Amazon Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, and other serving platforms.
• Develop APIs and integrations to connect AI models with frontend or enterprise apps.
• Build data pipelines for training, evaluation, and inference datasets using AWS services.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and security practices for backend and AI platforms.
