Job summary

National University of Singapore AISG, in partnership with SAIC, seeks an experienced AI Engineer to contribute to the development and operationalisation of an AI governance framework at Kent Ridge Campus. The role focuses on governance strategy, risk assessment, and policy alignment for GenAI deployments within SAF-related contexts.

Qualifications

• Degree in public policy, law, governance, computer science, data science, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of governance, risk, compliance, policy, technology assurance, or similar roles.
• Demonstrated AI literacy with GenAI patterns and governance of them (RAG, agentic, multimodal).
• Strong data skills for KPI design, dashboards, and governance metrics.
• Ability to assess risk in AI-enabled workflows including retrieval, tool-use automation, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Strong stakeholder management and writing skills; able to draft playbooks and briefing packs.
• Singapore citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the AI Strategy Roadmap outlining objectives and guidelines for AI tools and models, deployment, and use-case discovery.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the AI governance playbook aiding operationalisation of the governance strategy.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to influence AI-related risk considerations across the product lifecycle.
• Provide regular reports and insights on AI governance effectiveness and track these metrics.
• Conduct strategic foresight and research to develop future scenarios and identify opportunities to optimise AI governance policies.
• Provide updates on evolving AI-related legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and influence internal senior and external stakeholders.
